Have you seen a social media post about the new viral trend, greens powder? Greens powder is a supplement made from powdered fruits and vegetables. It is often mixed into water, smoothies, or juice once a day.
Pros of Greens Powder:
- Supply a boost of vitamins and minerals.
- May support healthy blood pressure.
- May support a healthy immune system.
- May improve digestion.
Cons of Greens Powder:
- Greens powder cannot replace all the benefits of fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Added ingredients in some powders may not be right for everyone.
Greens powder can be a healthy addition to your day but is NOT a substitute for a well-balanced diet. Fresh fruits and vegetables are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Rather, greens powder is a way to support meeting your nutrition needs.
