Ways to reduce inflammation has always been a topic of interest. Inflammation is the response your body has to protect itself from harm. This response can lead to swelling and discomfort.
Turmeric is a spice that is yellow in color. It has been shown to reduce inflammation. Turmeric is used in Indian curries, tea, mustards, and soups. The active component is curcumin. It acts like an antioxidant.
Curcumin is not absorbed very well in the body on its own. Have it with fats such as avocado, oil, and nuts. This can increase how much is absorbed. Black pepper also increases absorption.
