Warmer Weather Snack Ideas

With the warmer weather months coming, we are often looking for refreshing snack ideas to help us cool off. Here are some of our dietitians’ personal favorites:

Fruit Riot – Frozen fruit with a sour candy coating.

Trü Frü – Frozen fruit with chocolate or yogurt coatings.

Jonny Pops – Frozen treats with simple ingredients.

Diana’s Bananas – Frozen chocolate covered bananas.

Gutzy pouches – Refreshing fruit and vegetable blends.

Yasso bars – Frozen Greek yogurt bars.

Wyman’s Just Fruit cups– Frozen fruit bites in a cup.

Nature’s Garden Yoggies – Fruit bites coated in yogurt.

Mamma Chia pouches– Blended fruit with chia seeds in a pouch.

 

 

 

Creamy Watermelon Pops

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of frozen watermelon
  • 3/4 cup milk of your choice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend for about 20-30 seconds until the mixture is smooth. The mixture should be foamy.
  2. Divide into paper cups and freeze partially before putting in popsicle sticks. Place back into freezer to fully freeze the popsicles.
  3. Store popsicles in freezer.

Recipe makes: 6 servings
