Yoga for Anxiety I Coconut Cashew Butter Lemon Energy Bites

Any form of movement is beneficial for our health. Yoga is a form of movement that focuses on forming a connection between the mind and body while improving strength, balance and flexibility. Regardless of the experience level, yoga can be beneficial to everyone, and has been shown to ease anxiety and stress levels.

If you are having issues with stress and/or anxiety, here are a few reasons yoga may help:

1. Yoga aids in relaxation and sleep improvement. Bedtime yoga can be beneficial to ones sleep schedule. Not all forms of yoga are created equal; the right poses will allow for relaxation while others might not. Putting your legs up in the air with sitting bones close against the wall is a relaxing pose that will help prepare the body for sleep.

2. Yoga can help with energy and better mood. Yoga increases mental and physical energy while performing postures and movements that alleviate blockages of the energy channels found within the body. When these channels open, the bodies energy system becomes more balanced and accessible.

3. Yoga generates community. Feeling like you are a part of something can provide a structured environment. This can ease anxiety and reduce loneliness. Yoga connects people with a supportive community that can make a positive impact in our personal lives.
