Fueling for Learning

As children head back to school, it’s important to remember a few simple ways to help fuel their busy days. Regular meals and snacks can support learning, playing, and growing bodies, while providing the nutrients children need for steady energy throughout the day.

Every child has different preferences, so there is no “perfect” option. Instead, focus on variety, consistency, and enjoyment. Creating positive food experiences can help children feel fueled while building a healthy relationship with food.

·      Pretzels and cottage cheese.

·      Granola bar or protein bar.

·      Energy bites (see recipe below).

·      Greek yogurt and fruit.

·      Drinkable yogurt and fruit.

·      Sargento Balanced Breaks.
