Increasing Movement

Have a gym membership and do not use it? Work 40 plus hours and just want to go home and relax? Or are you just not a gym person? That is okay. We have to give ourselves more compassion if we can not make it to the gym or get in a workout. Here are some other ways to get in some movement for the day.

1. Use a standing desk at work, if you can.
2. Take breaks throughout the day to do calf raises.
3. Park further away from the entrance at work or while doing errands.
4. Have walking meetings at work.
5. Take a short walk during a lunch break.
6. Get in small workouts during commercial breaks while watching TV.
7. Stand while folding laundry or paying bills.
8. Play interactive games like Wii or Just Dance with the family.
